Strollers Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Strollers Coffee collects and uses personal information when you use the Strollers app and loyalty scheme.

What we collect
Account information
- Your name and mobile telephone number.
- Your customer or user ID.
- Authentication and session information used to keep your account secure.
Loyalty and transaction information
- Coffee loyalty balance and progress.
- Dog Sausage loyalty balance and progress.
- Rewards, entitlements and redemption history.
- Purchase-linked loyalty activity, including qualifying sale identifiers, items and transaction timestamps.
Profile information
- Your date of birth, where you choose to supply it.
- Your dog's name, date of birth and other dog-profile information you choose to supply.
App and device information
- A push-notification or device token where notifications are enabled.
- App events and product interaction information.
- Basic technical, security and authentication records.
Information you send us
We collect feedback and related contact details that you choose to submit through the app.
Payment cards: Strollers does not store full customer payment-card details in the loyalty application.
Why we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account and verify your telephone number by SMS.
- Operate the loyalty scheme, award and redeem rewards, and link qualifying purchases.
- Provide birthday rewards where the required profile information has been supplied.
- Deliver service and push notifications where enabled.
- Respond to support requests and feedback.
- Prevent fraud, protect account security and maintain service reliability.
- Understand product usage and improve the app.
Our lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we process personal information because it is necessary to provide the app and loyalty service under our contract with you; because we have legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving those services; because you have given consent where consent is appropriate; or because we must comply with a legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on your rights and interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Service providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate the app. They process only the information needed for their role:
- Twilio Verify provides SMS one-time passcodes and telephone verification.
- OVHcloud provides application and database hosting.
- Apple provides iOS app distribution and push-notification infrastructure where applicable.
- Google will provide Android app distribution when the Android app launches.
- Expo provides push-notification infrastructure used by the app where notifications are enabled.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights or security, or in connection with professional advice.
We do not sell personal data
Strollers does not sell customer personal data and does not use customer data for cross-company advertising tracking.
International processing
Some service providers may process data outside the UK. Where required, appropriate lawful transfer safeguards are used.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including operational, security, legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements.
Retention periods are reviewed according to the category and purpose of the data.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to:
- Ask for access to your personal information.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Ask us to delete information.
- Ask us to restrict how information is used.
- Object to certain uses of information.
- Receive or transfer certain information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. These include encrypted HTTPS communication, authentication and access controls, restricted database access, private network connections for internal systems, backups and ongoing security maintenance.
No system can be guaranteed completely secure. We review and maintain these measures as the service develops.
